Amphenol Connex Cables Help to Bring the Outside World In

Moorpark, CA – Amphenol Connex announces the release of two new fixed length cable assembly product lines. Both the AMC to SMA and the AMC to TNC cables are designed to operate from DC to 6 Ghz and are ideal for wireless applications connecting internal wireless modules to external antennas.

These cable assemblies feature right angle AMC series connectors on one end of the cable. AMC (Amphenol Micro Coaxial) connectors are intermateable and interchangeable with industry standard equivalent products from other manufacturers. Opposite the AMC connectors are SMA or TNC bulkhead jacks designed to mount to a panel or enclosure wall. The SMA and TNC connectors are available in both standard and reverse polarization. IP67 versions, allowing submersion to a depth of 1-meter for a 30 minute period, are available and are ideal for applications in which a sealed enclosure is required.

Several cable types are available including single braided 1.13mm and 1.37mm diameter micro-coaxial cables. For applications requiring lower loss, 1.32mm diameter cables with a double shield are available. RG-178 is also an option. The cables are available in overall lengths from 50 to 300mm.

Amphenol Connex Offers SMA Fixed Length Cable Assemblies

Amphenol Connex is pleased to announce a new line of pre-assembled, fixed-length SMA cable assemblies. Flexible SMA cable assemblies are ideal for use in a variety of commercial and industrial applications requiring a high quality threaded interface that commonly operate from DC to 12.4 GHz. Conformable semi-rigid assemblies may support frequencies of up to 18 GHz.

The cable assemblies feature premium quality, gold plated Amphenol Connex 50 Ohm SMA connectors. Straight plugs, R/A plugs, straight jacks, and bulkhead jacks are available. Flexible cable options include RG-142/U, RG-174/U, RG-316/U, RG-316/U Double Braided and RG-58/U. Conformable semi-rigid options include both 0.085” and 0.141” diameter cables.

Cables are stocked at many distributors in lengths ranging from 3-inches to 48-inches long. Non standard lengths are available. All components are RoHS compliant.
